Batten played for Ohio Christian from 1997-2001 and was a team captain during his junior and senior seasons.  He was a member of the 2000 team that earned an at-large bid to the NCCAA National Tournament.  Batten graduated in 2001 with his BA in teacher education and earned his state of Ohio teaching certification.  Upon graduation he took a position at CCA Prep Academy as Head Coach and Athletic Director.   In his two years at CCA he led the Runnin Jaguars to an SOCL Conference Championship and State Runner-Up finish.

Brenda Baker is entering her 4th season as an assistant coach on the Lady Trailblazer coaching staff. Her primary responsibilities will be to assist with player skill development, coordinate travel plans, and provide leadership and experience to the young Trailblazer team.

Brenda finished her college career as the most decorated women's basketball player to ever play at OCU. She played her first two seasons at Columbus State Community College before transferring to OCU for her last two seasons. In just two years at OCU, she set the school records for points in a career (1,132), career field goals (470), career FG% (61%), steals in a career (146), and points in a single game (44).
